Cruiser
A core component of any spacefaring force, used by both Human and Cephalopod fleets.
Human[edit]
Primary role is fleet defense and Magi Cæli support. They also have a stealth variant which works with magical girls as mobile armories and medical units. In defending the rest of the fleet, they often form a "line" of defense, either with or behind the frigates, which are in turn behind a wall of drones, smart mines, and other sub-sentient defensive tools. Named after famous statesmen, unless they choose a different name for themselves.
Cephalopod[edit]
Primary role is fleet defense, acting as a heavy anti‐personnel platform which can deploy hard radiation bombs and EMP pulses. In the Battle of Orpheus, the first stealth variants were deployed. Like their Human counterpart, they have their own FTL cores, one of which Asami destroys in the previously mentioned battle.
