Frederick Ewald was a renowned political scientist and one of the earliest critics of Governance.

Carreer[edit]

Being active at the formation of Governance in the first half the 23rd century, Ewald criticised the difficulty in describing and understanding the amalgam of structures that form Governance. While it may be true that any of its composites can be understood by a human or an AI, the entity arising in the combination of its component parts makes Governance as inscrutable as a "Lovecraftian Alien God". He thus coined the term Cthulhu Problem as a shorthand.
