De Chatillon is described as a hard-looking commander. He lashes out at General [[Alexander]] for suggesting a retreat and appears to favor offensive approaches. The General is unmarried, but [[Mami]] notices that he watches Fleet Admiral [[Karishma Anand]] in a way that "would have tempted her to speculate"<sup>1</sup>.

He seems to be an enemy of General Alexander, but also an ally of Mami.
