Project Eden was a large scale scientific project issued by the Emergency Defense Committee employing thousands of scientists with a single goal: to seek clinical immortality, to make accidents and violence be the only agents of death one needs to fear.
By the late 23th century they succeeded, with the generation surrounding the end of the Unification Wars being the first to become clinically immortal, earning that generation the nickname Immortals.[1]
Motto, Project Eden: "Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the Garden of Eden. He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the Garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the Tree of Life."
