			Meanwhile, Kuroi Abe has returned to active service, back in ground combat rotation on the contested planet of Persepolis. While on leave visiting a local city for food, stopping to chat with some visiting reporters, he becomes among the first responders to an unexpected raid by alien special forces on the local armory and grief cube repository. He narrowly avoids being killed when a team of unseen magical girls intervenes, one of whom, he realizes, was one of the reporters he had been talking to earlier.
