Interceptor

A type of light, nimble ship used for attack or support as necessary. Best fielded in large numbers, and used by both Human and Cephalopod fleets.

Human

Primary role is fleet defense. They can also support Mage Corps specifically against attacking interceptors and bombers. However, they have considerably less firepower and survivability than their alien equivalent.

Cephalopod

Plays a role in both attacking human MC, interceptors, and frigates, covering for bombers. Also plays a role in fleet defense, especially against MagOps teams. They are often sent out in waves along with bombers, with one such wave being responsible for the ultimate death of Roland Erwynmark.
